New Sondrel Design Centre Opened by British Ambassador to Morocco

Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, Karen Betts, was guest of honour last week at the official opening of the new Sondrel design centre in Rabat this week. Sondrel CEO Graham Curren, in the company of government and business representatives from the UK and Morocco, invited guests and new employees, celebrated the establishment of the company’s fifth international design centre. Speakers at the event included the Sondrel CEO, the Ambassador, Chief Executive Officer of the Moroccan Foundation for Advanced Science, Innovation and Research (MASCIR) Hicham Bouzekri and the Director of Technopolis Business Park, where the office is located, Mohamed Souhail Bencherifa. Guests enjoyed a tour of the new state-of-the-art facilities that will be used to support international customer with their IC design service requirements.

Karen Betts commented, ‘I am delighted to open the new Sondrel Design Centre here in Rabat. This is a great example of the growing business relationships between Morocco and the UK. It is particularly encouraging to see this within the technology sector of silicon chip design.’

Sondrel has continued to invest in its design centre facilities in 2016, growing its verification services for clients, and providing support for the significant ramp up in activity within the automotive and ‘Internet Of Things’ (IoT) sectors.
