Graphics Processing Engine for HD Display Broadcasts


This 28nm TSMC technology design incorporated multiple instantiations of a highly optimised graphics processing engine, utilising latch-based design for optimum performance. It was built to handle the encryption standards for 4K HD display broadcasts.

The Design

The engineering team successfully doubled the performance of the previous design version without doubling the power.

The Team

The engineering team worked predominantly off-site at Sondrel design centres, liaising with the client on-site on a monthly basis. This was a fixed price engagement.
