Sondrel strengthens French team

Stephane Cauneau joins leading European back-end design consultancy
Sondrel, Europe’s largest back-end design consultancy, has strengthened its team with the addition of Stephane Cauneau, who will be based at the company’s French office in Nice. Cauneau has over 10 years design experience gained while working with Compass, where he was a Library Designer and technical specialist working on full custom design, and Altera where he was part of the IC Design Group.
“There is a real lack of European design resources”, he comments, “so it is very exciting to be joining Sondrel, which is a small but fast growing company that offers lots of opportunities. Back-end design is a specialist task that many companies are not interested in. But decisions you make at the start of a project will have a major impact on layout, so you need to consider back-end issues right from the outset. That’s where Sondrel is different: although we specialise in back-end design, we like to get involved as early as possible to make sure a design stands the best chance of success.”
