Sondrel represents UK High Tech at China/UK delegation
08 November 2010
Sondrel is proud to announce its participation in the UK-China Government Summit, an initiative organized by the Governments of China and the UK. Sondrel's CEO Graham Curren was invited to join UK Prime Minister David Cameron and the UK delegation and was one of only two UK companies representing the high technology sector.
A recent winner of the Queens award for Innovation, Sondrel is a chip design and consultancy company and was chosen because it is one of the most active UK technology companies doing business in China today, emphasising the company's success and leadership position in the electronics sector.
"It is a great honour for us to be part of this highly important project, commented Graham Curren, CEO Sondrel. "Having only recently expanded our operations in Shanghai, with the opening of a new office by Minister of Business and Enterprise, Mark Prisk, we are pleased to announce that we are already hiring more staff in Xi’an and this invitation further compliments the first-rate support we have received by the government to date."
Business Secretary Vince Cable said: “Sondrel's expanding presence in China is testament to the strong economic relationship between China and the UK and to the benefits that trade and overseas investment can bring to UK firms. “I am pleased to see more and more companies capitalising on the opportunities offered by China’s development. I hope that this week’s visit will serve to open doors for more UK firms. I wish Sondrel every success in their future business.”
