Sondrel joins LSI Logic RapidChip™ Partner Program
Leading European physical implementation design house expands support for Platform ASIC design
Feb 01 2005 – Sondrel today announced that it has joined the LSI Logic (NYSE: LSI) RapidChip™ Platform ASIC Partner Program, broadening the support that designers can call upon when implementing their designs in this cost-effective, fast time-to-market, low risk technology.
The RapidChip platform combines the high-density, high-performance benefits of cell-based ASICs with the fast time-to-market benefits of FPGAs, and the proven IP benefits of ASSPs. RapidChip Platform ASICs use LSI Logic's CoreWare® IP, customizable logic, embedded memory, and innovative design concepts to significantly reduce design and manufacturing risk and costs. RapidChip Platform ASICs also provide a fast and seamless migration path to full cell-based ASICs to drive unit costs even lower for very high volume applications.
